Dance Town is a hugely stirring story of a woman, Jung-nim, who escapes over the border between North and South Korea after their neighbours inform to the authority's that they have goods from the South. Jung-nim is given a place to live and a menial job but even with all the help she is given, she is deeply alone especially as the weeks pass and there is no word from her husband. To fight the isolation she joins a church group where she encounters more socially excluded people. Maybe together she will find some happiness.
